Happy Weekend

I had a good weekend and I can't wait for this weekend to arrive too! My mum is coming to visit from KL, she doesn't always comes to S'pore although it's not really far, but she have to wait until school holidays and when my little brother wasn't sitting for any exam then only she can come for visiting... What's more is Christmas is just 6 DAYS away! Yeah~ I love Christmas ! although Im not christian but I like the festive feelings, the decor, twinkling lights, shopping so much!

By the way, some also believe that Doomsday is looming ahead, in just another 3 days??! Well, i am not really a believer but i just think no matter what happen, just enjoy life and don't over think...

Some of the activity last week :)
1) Dinner at Boston Seafood Shack, Star Vista

1-for-1 fish & chip

portion was not too big
Soup ok and not too exp
2) Early Christmas Dinner with babes (Cheryl, Cindy, Mun) at  Morganfield

from a normal dinner somehow we ended up with Christmas Set Platter lol
Cesar salad with prosciutto
the platter was so huUGE! it says in the menu for 4 person..
we only managed to finish the fries coz it's delicious, the rest is too everwhelming!
But no matter what, we ladies sure have space for these delicious desserts!! yum~

3) Dinner with Kentz at The Fabulous Baker Boy ( the Foothills)

It's located just opposite Liang Court, in the middle of field
open air concept
The only indoor seating can only accomodate 3 person, lolol
The desserts are calling me! Pick me, eat me!
Jus Prawn Fettucine - nice !
Tuna Melt - shouldn't have ordered this :(
Red Velvet Cake - Best I've EVER Tasted !
We can't stop eating this cake once we started!
casual getup for a night in town
Me and my "Black Ant' - very strong cocktail
I had a good good night :)
Side note: I nearly lost my phone again!! This time is all my fault because I left my phone on the restaurant table and did not realize it until after I reached home! By the time, it was already near midnight and I just didn't think twice and straight away run out of the house towards the restaurant at Star Vista mall. I was really really lucky that night because the restaurant was still open and the very honest staff and boss there returned my phone to me!! *phew* really a close call, I can't imagine what I would feel if I lost another phone again! I must be more careful from now on and hope no next time!

Night peeps...

Cheers,
Chin Chin

Hard Earn Living (Part 1)

Well, this post is suppose to be my Vietnam trip post and how I lost my wallet and everything therehowever, I am still waiting for photos from my dear friend, so Next Post lo..

This time, I would like to share with you all what I did for a living :)  Take a guess?? Hehe, I think people will take a look at me and guess that I'm a librarian, admin , OL, teacher etc because I look soft and gentle ??!! Well, the truth is - I AM Not what you guessed! Lol...nor I'm the gentle soft gal !

I graduated from Chemistry Major in UM, so technically Im a Chemist but I think this title is very misleading and make people thought that I am some freak scientist or something..LOL

4 years ago, during my sem break, I would came to Sg to visit my aunt and bf so I sort of browsing the newspaper for job and I came about the advertisement on hiring Lab Officer from National Environment Agency. At one look at the job description, I thought I should be able to manage so I sent my resume. After quite a long wait, I received email from the HR for an interview. When I got to Environment Building at Scotts Road, I was amazed at the big organization and nervous like hell. I remembered that my GM asked me : Do you know where Tuas and Tuas Incineration Plant at? Are you comfortable with waking up early to work?  I remembered I was silently thinking : Where the hell is Tuas? Very Ulu one r? Huh what time do I have to get up?? But I calmly replied : I roughly know the area but not the exact location of the plant and waking up early should not be a problem after I got used to it.

Finally, I managed to beat other 100 odds applicants and got the job so I googled Tuas Avenue 20 but the cursor was pointing at some blank area on the map, I was like WTH?!! So Ulu til no map ??!! I also have no any freaking idea what a Incineration Plant do and what a chemist do there... LOL, I vaguely know incinerate = burning but no idea burn what...Haha

So enough of boring history, now we go to fact. Singapore is a very small island whereby land is scarce and the weather is humid so Sg can't afford to use normal landfilling method in their approach at waste management. So Sg adopted Incineration (burning of organic waste in high tempof the refuse.

Yeah...I deal with rubbish everyday...I had dealt with rubbish day in and day out for 4 years... But aside from the sight and smell, there are some interesting parts of my job that is worth sharing here, in mt next post coz too long already!

Birthday Celebration & Gathering (Nov)

We are a bunch of Malaysian who came to find a living in the neighbouring land, we are far from our families and homeland (at least for half of us who stayed in the more northern part of Malaysia). So we will try to gather the group each month to celebrate the birthdays for babies borne in that particular month.

Our most recent gathering for Oct& Nov babies celebration at Full House, our regular gathering place because of the friendly boss, good location and comfortable ambiance. We would always called ahead to book for the sofa seat whenever we went there in groups.

Oct & Nov babies

this one is sure one of precious shot :P
